It seems to have been a festival of the arts for us at Selby Carpets over the last month as we have transformed some exciting spaces with our flooring installations.
One of our first stops was at the White Cube Gallery in Bermondsey. The gallery had an ever-expanding programme of exhibitions and needed a specialist carpet for one show that would not only fit in with the exhibition ambience itself but also be temporary and not damage their existing flooring when removed.
We spent three days refurbishing the flooring in the offices of The Art Newspaper, laying carpet and recycling old materials wherever possible. And when the Electric Theatre Collective in Margaret St, W1, needed to replace carpeting on the platform they called us in to do the job.
Of course, we haven’t just been installing in arts venues and getting our fill of culture! Probably the best example of our fantastic service here at Selby Carpets came when we replaced 500m2 of carpet tiles at the fully furnished Mercedes head office in Milton Keynes in just one weekend. We did this using our lift and shift equipment, ensuring we can replace your commercial flooring quickly and the minimum disruption to your business.
It remains a critical time for many schools undertaking refurbishments before the summer holidays end and we have carried out many flooring jobs in the education sector, including St Agnes school in Cricklewood. If you’re in the education sector, please contact us to talk about the right type of carpet or vinyl flooring for your classrooms, corridors, toilets and kitchens. You can also make a great impression in the entrance and assembly halls with school or academy logos on hard wearing vinyl.
